Royal Bardia National Park is the largest park in the lowland Terai   covering an area of 968 sq. km. The park situated in Nepal's Western   Terai was established to protect representative ecosystems and conserve   tiger and its prey species. Initially, a small area was gazetted as the   Royal Karnali Wildlife Reserve in 1976.

Chitwan National Park, to reiterate, comes from the full name Chituwa Ban, meaning ‘Leopard Forest’. It is also believed to have originated from Chitta Ban, or ‘Heart or deep of the jungle’. Another legend has it that the name of this tropical valley comes from Sita Ban, meaning ‘Sita/s forest’. Sita was the consort of Lord Ram, the hero of the great Hindu epic Ramayana. Royal Chitwan National Park was officially established in 1973. It was included as a World Heritage Site in 1984 in recognition of its focus on people-and-park harmony and the contributions

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve 1976 ( Area 175 sq. kms.)lies on the floodplains of the Sapta Koshi River in the south-eastern Terai. The reserve was gazetted in 1976 to preserve habitat for the only remaining population of Wild buffalo, Arna (Bubalus arnee). The 176 sq. km. reserve is Nepal's smallest wildlife reserve. The eastern and western embankments of the Sapta Koshi River define the area. In 1987, Koshi Tappu was declared a Ramsar site, a wetland of international significance.

Nepal has four major river system with more than two- hundred fifty considerable branch. The major rivers are:- The Sapta Kosi in the eastern Nepal, the Narayani in the central Nepal, the Karnali in the western Nepal and the Mahakali in the remote western Nepal.

The Bheri River is so remote that it remains relatively an unexplored. The Bheri River rises in Dolpa district. Two large tributaries, the Thuli (meaning big) and Sani (Small!) join at Ramnaghat to form the Bheri River.

The Bhote Koshi is one of the tough and exciting white water river rafting which is just three hours far from Kathmandu. It is the steepest river rafted in Nepal technically & totally committing With a gradient of 80 feet per mile it is a full eight times steeper than Sunkoshi which it feeds further downstream

Dolpa is located in the shy- Phoksundo National park of mid- western Nepal behind the Dhaulagiri massif towards the Tibetan plateau which cut off by a series of very high passes and closed by the snow most of the year. Dolpa remains a truly isolated corner of Nepal.

The Everest region has gained its popularity for trekking, mountaineering, peak climbing and expedition. Among the major destinations of trekking in Nepal, Everest region stood second despite poor accessibility. It is more expensive and difficult to get Solu Khumbu than to the Annapurna region. One must either walk for a week or fly to Lukla to get near Everest.
